The River is a rugged, lace-up boot made of waterproof, glazed polido leather. It is set on a lightly cushioned rubber sole inspired by combat boots.
Glazed or polido leather is a waterproof leather, covered with a varnish that gives the leather a shiny appearance. This type of leather requires very little maintenance. In fact, as this leather no longer has the pores (grain) of standard leather, shoe polish or any other maintenance product cannot penetrate the leather. A simple, soft, slightly damp cloth will suffice to properly maintain your glazed shoes.
