These budget friendly hiking spikes work with most trail shoes and hiking boots to give you the winter / cold weather traction you need while hiking and running around in the mountains. While the quality seems fine, there's a reason they are $20 and not $60. So far so good on our end for testing on a few hikes up to Tuckerman Ravine. At the very least, keep a spare pair for that friend.
